EDWIN “ED” White
Ed White is a native of New Orleans born on November 27, 1950. Educated in New Orleans public school system, he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1968 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans, in 1972. He has been in the commercial real estate profession since becoming a licensed agent in 1976 and his total personal volume of sales in in excess of $337 million dollars. Ed White became a Louisiana Licensed Real Estate Broker in 1980 and received his C.C.I.M. (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in February, 1982.
He was awarded the Ruby Award in 1980 and again in 1984 by the Jefferson Board of Realtors for the most real estate transactions produced by any commercial agent during the previous year. He is a life member of the Realtors Million Dollar Sales Club, and has received the New Orleans Metropolitan Board of Realtors (CID) Commercial Investment Division Sales Achievement Award for over 13 years. In 2013 and again in 2016 he was also awarded the Largest Transaction Award from the Commercial Investment Division. In September of 1984, he started the firm of Ed White & Associates, Inc., which specializes in commercial-investment real estate brokerage, syndication, consulting and development. Over the past 37 years the firm has grown and now asset manages nearly 1,000 apartment units in Dallas and Houston, Texas. The value of current portfolio of property under management is in excess of $140,000,000.00. The firm currently serves some 500 investor clients throughout the United States.
He has served as President of the Louisiana C.C.I.M. Chapter, Louisiana Republican Party Deputy Chairman and Finance Chairman, JEDCO – Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission, and is active in various other Civic, Political, Charitable and Christian Ministry related activities. March of 2000, he authored the book entitled “Financial Freedom”, which is now in its fourth printing. For five years he hosted the “Freedom Series” T.V. program which aired on Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m. on WHNO-TV Channel 20 in New Orleans, La. Ed and his wife Ellen reside in Kenner, La. and have four children, Brent, Kerri, Natalie and Rebecca and six grandchildren.
